It is also versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes, such as protecting gold fingers during wave solder or solder dip processes, insulating electrical switches, motors, or lithium batteries under Grade H, and providing a perfect surface for 3D printing.
Tapes Master 1 Mil polyimide tape is alternative to 3M Kapton tape 5413. The tape is a HN general purpose amber color film with silicon adhesive and 3” polyethylene core. RoHS approved and Halogen Free.
High Temperature Resistant - Flame Retardant:
Polyimide tape not only flame retardant (at temperatures as low as -273°C (-459°F) and as high as 400°C (752°F)), but also chemical and radiation resistant which protects surfaces to help reduce replacement costs
No Residue after Peeling Off:
Polyimide Tape by Tapes Master is an ideal choice for sublimation processes, thanks to its exceptional heat resistance and silicone adhesive formulation that ensures residue-free removal. Polyimide film does not soften at elevated temperatures, thus provides an excellent release surface at elevated temperatures. In addition, silicone adhesive's high temperature performance reduces adhesive transfer which helps to eliminate cleaning, enabling high productivity.

Protection of gold fingers: of printed circuit boards during wave solder or solder dip process. Insulation and Bonding for electrical switches, motor, lithium battery under Grade H.
Surface for 3D printers:
Kapton and ABS adhere to each other very well, therefore is the recommended use of Kapton as a bed surface for 3D printers.

1 Mil Polyimide Tape is thin, strong and conformable enabling masking of uneven surface. It is dimensionally stable at high temperatures, which prevents rework and enabling high productivity.
